Gerard Butler attended a Bulgari private event to benefit Save The Children and Artists For Peace and Justice on Thursday (January 13) in Beverly Hills, Calif.
The event included a cocktail reception, a unique dining experience by Suzanne Goin, a live auction, and a special musical performance by three-time Latin Grammy and multi-Grammy winner Ricky Martin.
100% of the funds raised by the event will support Save the Children’s education programs in the U.S. and Artists for Peace and Justice’s efforts to bring education to Haiti’s poorest children.

Gerard Butler refuses to follow dating rules.
The Ugly Truth star disregards the expected romantic etiquette that women want and believes that’s why he’s still single.
“I would want a woman to call me if I hadn’t called her,” he said. “If I don’t call it’s because I’m busy. But this is why I’m single. But there is also the element that the second you think a girl is maybe not quite as keen, there is a little more interest in the situation.
“Sometimes, when it’s there right in front of you, it’s not as interesting.”

Gerard Butler's going to be playing the field in Playing the Field (also known as Slide and Confessions of a Little League Coach), a sports-oriented romantic comedy set to begin filming in March, so says Deadline. Seven Pounds (definitely not a rom-com) director Gabriele Muccino is helming the project from a script by Robbie Fox (So I Married an Axe Murderer).
Butler's also producing the film through his Evil Twins company. Nu Image/Millennium is backing Playing the Field and is aiming for a March 2011 start date.
