Scottish actor Gerard Butler showed off his adventurous side after completing a paragliding dive in the Swiss Alps in July 2011.
He had a short break in Switzerland with his mother Margaret and step-father, from Perthshire, as his guests. They were staying in the luxurious Omnia Mountain Lodge, a boutique hotel and spa above the town where suites cost almost £1000 a night.
Butler was strapped into a safety harness and leaped off the mountain, enjoying a 20-minute cruise in the sky before crash-landing on a bale of hay.
His instructor Dani Behling tells Scotland's Sunday Mail, "At the beginning, he was really spooked, saying things like, 'Oh my God, I'm scared.' But after a few minutes he relaxed and was very quiet and enjoyed it...
After his Swiss break, Butler flew back to London then on to Los Angeles.
