Beauty in Aspen

Gerry Butler in Aspen
Gerard Butler is in Aspen, Colorado. He deserves the break after a very successful year. I hope he has fun and recharge for another productive and successful year.

Breakout Star of 2009

Gerry Butler - Breakout Star of 2009 Again Gerard Butler is in the top of the charts. This year he appeared in more starring roles than ever before and I couldn't be happier. Two of these movies turned into one of the biggest blockbusters of the year (The Ugly Truth and Law Abiding Citizen).

From starpulse.com:
Ladies love his charming good looks and pretty blue eyes and the guys like his rugged manly ass kicking ways. He is a duel treat and is all set to star along Jennifer Aniston in another romantic comedy sure to break the bank next year.

Congratulations! Keep on shining!

Hottest Scot of 2009

The Daily Record just announced Gerry is the hottest Scot of 2009
MEN: Gerard Butler
Last Year (31)

A MASSIVE jump for the 40-year-old Paisley star but then Gerry, as he's known to his pals, has had some year.

Not only has he had hits with blockbusters Law Abiding Citizen and The Ugly Truth, he's also been linked with Hollywood beauty Jennifer Aniston.

Gerard started his career in Mrs Brown more than 10 years ago but it seemed with duds like The Phantom Of The Opera and beefcake roles that Gerard was going to be a jobbing actor. That was until 2006's epic 300, when Tinseltown woke up to his talent. He's since balanced rom-coms with action films.

HE'S SIZZLING BECAUSE

This year Gerard was voted the best British actor in Hollywood and International Star of the Year by Variety magazine . However, he hasn't forgotten his roots and chose Glasgow for the UK premiere of Law Abiding Citizen.

Reasons to Love Gerard Butler

I just found this article listing 10 reasons to love Gerard Butler and I decided to share the information.

1. 300 - and those pecs: He is a real man's man - King Leonidas. We know 300 earned Butler many female admirers, but apparently the boys are even bigger fans, thanks to his soccer-player physique, slightly mashed in face, mischievous blue eyes and an air of cheekiness and electric energy. Earlier this year, when he was asked why he's often cast as heroes of yore, he nonchalantly said, "I think it's because of my incredible power and charisma."

2. P.S. I love you - the romantic: The hunk, who recently turned 40, isn't really the ladies man he'd like people to think he is after all. He wants to settle down and start a family. "It's about time. A woman by my side would be very helpful," Butler was quoted as saying.

3. The Ugly Truth: With his down-and-dirty, trash talking dating advisor in this film (opposite Katherine Heigl's uptight TV producer) Butler endeared himself to even more women - because even the boyfriends they dragged along to the film enjoyed it - and that's unusual for a romcom.

4. The ladies man: The Scottish sauce pot has been romantically linked to Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson and Lindsay Lohan and even Bollywood hottie Priyanka Chopra. tabloid! relished the hottest goss earlier this year: smitten by the sexy Chopra, Butler proposed to her in Mumbai, but as all Bollywood 'good' girls do, Chopra said: "We're JUST good friends".

5. Sweet talker: We loved it when Butler doled out not-so-gentle advice: "Pretty girls, lose the attitude. Who needs it? Life's is too short ... a lot of women take themselves way too seriously. Their beauty feels like it's a weapon. There's nothing more attractive to a guy than a beautiful woman who has her defences down."

6. Seriously funny: He may be rich, talented and beautiful, but nothing beats a guy with a great sense of humour. Gerard Butler won over his funny fans when he playfully imitated the famous moment when the late Michael Jackson dangled his newborn son from the balcony of a London hotel. Although MJ later called the incident a "terrible mistake" the news made headlines around the world. Gerry opted for a pot plant in a blanket instead and although he didn't make quite as many headlines he did get a few laughs.

7. More brains than brawn: Digging through the layers of the ever changing world of showbiz on the quest to stardom we find Butler at the forefront. He didn't start out as an actor - in fact he earned a law degree from Glasgow University.

8. Laughs at himself: Before he became a polished movie megastar, one of Gerard's first acting roles was in the British cult TV series The Young Person's Guide to Becoming a Rock Star. He played a self-obsessed, obnoxious (but very funny) singer called Marty Claymore (a send-up of Wet Wet Wet frontman Marti Pellow). Gerard's character spent most of the series either wearing outrageous costumes, with his clothes off altogether, or running away from his army of wild-eyed teenage fans.

9. Big softie: We know Butler is quite the ladies man. But here is something to distract you from his sexual conquests. Did you know beneath the steely exterior lies a softie? Digest this: During his visit to Mumbai in May, Butler took the time out and threw a lavish lunch for the kids who acted in Slumdog Millionaire. Some may run down his gallant efforts saying that it was a convoluted way of impressing his flame, Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra, but we think it was rather sweet. He even threw little Rubina Ali (the child who was caught in the adoption scandal and who played the young Latika in the slum saga) up in the air - much to the delight of the other kids.

10. Sings for his supper: For his role as the Phantom in the movie version of Phantom of the Opera, Butler started singing 10 months before the actual filming started. He had the "rock'n'roll" voice Andrew Lloyd Webber was looking for - and with good reason: He had a rock band of his own, called Speed, for a number of years.
